Ministry Message Today, I am pleased to present the key achievements of the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology (MOICT) of the Northeastern State of Somalia. Through strategic initiatives and partnerships, the Ministry has made significant progress in expanding ICT infrastructure, promoting e-government services, and fostering a digital economy that supports growth and innovation. Director General Biography Abdirahman Yusuf Abdihafid is an experienced ICT professional with over seven years of expertise in the field of Information and Communication Technology. He holds a Master’s degree in Software Engineering from Bangladesh.

Throughout his career, he has worked with telecommunications companies and emerging startups, gaining extensive experience in technology development, systems management, and digital innovation. His professional background reflects a strong commitment to leveraging technology to improve public services and drive sustainable development.

As Director General of the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology, he is focused on advancing digital transformation, strengthening ICT infrastructure, and supporting the growth of a modern, technology-driven public sector.
